  1. Impressive
Who really need it, can safely order, no need to spend 175$ on the same rod from Geissele. High quality steel tool, precisely done to fit the barrel extension. Best recommendation.

  2. It is a very good rod but..
    80%
But the rod seems to be very tight on an NEA upper that I have. It works fine on my Colt IUR upper. I had to shave some material off with a file to allow it to fit snug but not loose in my NEA upper. It is a solid steel rod, very durable. It will take the brunt of the torquing when tightening that barrel nut to 50-60 lbs/in. Hopefully TNA will take my suggestions back to their factory to ensure that it is compatible with all uppers in the market.

  3. Precise and Professional
    100%
I am totally impressed by how well this spline works. Once gripped in your bench vise, the rod can be orientated either horizontal or vertical. It securely holds an upper receiver assembly for maintenance and assembly work. This is a great tool for the removal and installation of barrels, flash hiders, gas blocks and hand guards. It makes everything so much easier and simpler.

TNA, this is an excellent product - thank you.

From CA$80.97
Features:
  • Solid steel construction
  • Heat-treated
  • Blued finish
  • Made in Canada
You get:
  • (1) Torque tool of the chosen style
Tools required:
  • Bench vise
Installation Tips:
  • We suggest the following setup. By hand, assemble the upper receiver, barrel, and barrel nut. Clamp the flat end of the Torque Tool in your bench vise, pointed to the sky. Slide the receiver over the Torque Tool in a controlled fashion so that the teeth engage with the barrel extension (turn the receiver till it locks). Then you can torque away at the barrel nut with the appropriate barrel nut wrench.
  • Note: If dropped it becomes a toe detector, so have a chock or something to stop it from rolling off the bench

This Upper Assembly Tool makes barrel and muzzle device installation super easy. This tool engages the barrel extension while you are torquing your barrel nut and/or muzzle device. Keeps the barrel extension firmly connected to the earth so that you can apply the torque necessary to get the job done. This allows you to work on your upper with less chance of deforming or scratching the outside of the upper receiver which can happen if you use one of those clamshell-style plastic vice blocks.

You put the flattened end into a regular vice (sideways or pointed to the ceiling) and interlock the teeth directly into the barrel extension. This takes all the stress off the receiver that would occur if you were using a clamshell-style vice block.
