CNA Bolt Carrier (Stripped) (Titanium Aluminum Nitride)
So maybe you are building a 7.62x39 upper that comes with an enhanced bolt and want to have a compete carrier to go with it. That sounds like a good idea as I'm far too lazy to change out my bolt every time I change calibers.
Note the gas key screw holes are tapped for the slightly larger #10 rather than the usual #8.
M16-type extreme duty-ready stripped bolt carrier from Canadian National Arms. This carrier is heavier than a typical semi-auto AR-15 carrier due to additional material in the back end intended to create a better firing rhythm when shooting in full-auto mode.
Titanium Aluminum Nitride (TiAN) is the next evolution of Titanium Nitride (TiN), a gold coating you might have seen. TiAN has a higher temperature resistance and slightly higher hardness and higher hot hardness (i.e. the hardness at high temperatures) than conventional TiN. It is ideally suited for hot conditions because the heat allows the surface layer to continuously reform as it wears.
- Titanium Aluminum Nitride finish
- M16 cut
- Weight: 248g
- (1) Stripped bolt carrier
- All mil-spec uppers
- All mil-spec bolts
- #10-32 gas key screws, not the common smaller #8
Tools required: Not much, maybe needle nose pliers for the firing pin retainer
Installation notes: This is a stripped unit. You will need to attach and stake the Gas Key, Cam Pin, Bolt, and Firing Pin, all sold separately.
Get the gas key on there, gett'er torqued, staked, sealed or what ever you choose to do.
Load your complete bolt, get the cam pin in there followed by the firing pin and firing pin retainer. Easy peasy
