love it!!
This handguard makes my $1300 build look like a $2500 Ar-15, extremely well made and light weight. First day out I shot 300 rounds in 45 mins and the handguard didn't heat up at all. Highly recommended

Surprisingly Well Made
I purchased this hand-guard as an alternative to a BCM MCMR being a little skeptical of its quality. When it arrived I was surprised to find an aluminum barrel nut instead of steel barrel nut and not some awful mounting system that mounts onto the steel barrel nut adding far too much weight. The aluminum barrel nut mounts directly to the hand-guard. The weight measurements that are provided in the description aren't just the hand-guard, but the hand-guard + mounting hardware. For this reason this hand-guard is ridiculously light weight while still being resilient enough. I have yet to use the upper, but I would suspect that it may heat up a little faster given that the aluminum in the rail is thinner than usual and that the barrel nut directly contacts the barrel and hand-guard. The use of gloves will probably remedy this. The anodizing isn't bad, but hand-guards twice or three times the price have better finishes (to be expected). It is fine for what it is. The only two complaints I have is that the rounded points on the hand guard look like QD mounts. Whether it was intentional or not my QD sling is able to lock into these points, but the fit is quite loose. If they tightened up the tolerances and left a bit more material behind the slots it would work much better as a QD sling mount. The other complaint I have is that the lengths of the rails seem to be limited. I would have loved to see a 13" or 13.5" variant. I have purchased or handled rails that were much more than this and worse. I am happy with the purchase.
