Stainless Peel Washer for Timing Muzzle Devices
This ain't as sexy as it sounds but it does a very important job. If you need lots of spacing when aligning your muzzle device, this will save you big on the shims.
A peel washer looks like a regular washer but it is actually many layers of 0.003" thick shims pressed together. You need to test install it then remove layers until you get the desired thickness. This has the advantage over a crush washer that it will provide the same locking power for the same torque, unlike crush washers that can leave your muzzle device under or overtorqued when at the aligned position.
- 0.073" thick
- Metal construction
- Stainless steel
- For 1/2" threads or 5/8" threads depending which size you pick
- (1) Peel washer
- Any barrel or muzzle device with 1/2" threads
Tools required: A razor blame
Installation notes: If you need to thin the washer, run your fingertip over the washer edges to identify the more rounded side. Hold a sharp knife perpendicular to the more rounded edge and scrape away from the washer until the top layer starts to peel. Pull er off, test install, and repeat until the muzzle device is aligned how you want it
