Note the length of 8mm. Some aftermarket Gas Blocks are much thicker and require a longer Roll Pin.

I had never used a roll pin before installing the gas block on my AR-15. These things are small and a little tricky to install but they work well. Almost lost one on my desk cause they're so darn small, glad I bought some extras because they're cheap.

Grab Extras - Especially if you have fat fingers
I'm not sure if it was my fat fingers, or just the small size, but I've lost more than one of these when trying to build a rifle. They are a cheap part that everyone needs to have at least two extras in their build-box.||They work like any split-pin and aren't a true roll-pin. Still, they work great.

Just the right size, fits perfectly flush in my FSB. Easy to install. Buy several because they're easy to lose and they're cheap.
