Product Description
THESE RUN THE PROMAG DUCKBILL MAGS (NOT DRUM)
So heres' the scoop,
we've acquired a bunch of aluminum sks chassis
we sold off all the crappy painted ones then sent a bunch of raw castings out for powdercoat
however a small number are not powder coated properly
so this means they have strange bubbles and defects in the paint
the Black is pretty black and nicely matt
We've bundled these with a bunch of new products that make this a sweet / killer deal to upgrade your SKS
our loss is your gain
you'll get the chassis (normally $400ish)
buttstock kit (normally $100 ish)
pistol grip (normally $20 ish)
AND a top rail that pins into the leaf sight area ($100 ish)
This is about $600 retail worth of stuff but there is a problem with the coatings so consider these to be battle damage ready specials
THESE HAVE BLACK PLASTIC INSERTS FOR ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE OF THE MAGWELL
This aluminum chassis replaces the wooden stock on your SKS, giving you a fun non-restricted rifle that shoots cheap milsurp ammo, accepts many AR-15 accessories, and looks fkn bada$$.
Take careful note of what parts are included and what is not. At a minimum you will also need to buy an AR-15 buttstock and pistol grip in order to make this functional. See the hyperlinks below.
- Picatinny handguard
- Theoretically there is no permanent modifications to the SKS required but you will have to remove the small piece of wood from the Gas Tube which might be irreversible depending on how your particular SKS was assembled.
- Accepts AR-15 grips and buffer tubes / buttstocks (not included)
- Machined from billet 6061 aluminum
- Made in Canada
- Weight: about 1kg (2.2lbs)
You get:
- (1) SKS chassis with upper and lower handguard
- (1) buttstock kit
- (1) pistol grip
- (1) receiver mounted pic rail
Compatible with:
- Duckbill mags
- Russian, Chinese SKS
Likely NOT compatible with:
- SKSes adapted to take AK magazines
- Albanian/East German SKSes
Installation Difficulty:

Tools required: Wire cutters or needlenose pliers for cutting a spring to the right length to fit your SKS
Installation notes: Instructions here . Note that you will have to remove the small piece of wood from the top half of the handguard; in some SKS's this piece is glued in place so you might have to destructively remove the wood. If you have difficulty the folks at TNA and/or Matador will guide you

Comment after receipt and installation
The good news is that installation is very easy. The grip is as expected. But the paint on the parts isn't good quality. 1. The parts were already all scratched. 2. The paint doesn't hold up very well; it's easy to damage. 3. These parts weren't protected in the box; the parts should have been powder-coated.
