The IWI CARMEL is a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston rifle featuring ambidextrous controls, an adjustable two-position gas regulator, and a free-floating 16" barrel. Its design combines a metal construction with an impact-resistant polymer body and an M-LOK-compatible handguard.

The CARMEL accepts NATO-standard 5.56 magazines and features a MIL-STD-1913 top rail for compatible optics and accessories.
