Product Description
Like the forward assist, our customers seem to prefer ejector port covers as completed assemblies. So here you are!
- Mil-spec
- Blackened steel with a smooth finish
- Complete assembly ready to drop in
- Perfect for laser etching at your local engraving shop
- Weight: 22g
You get (pre-assembled):
- (1) Cover door
- (1) Shaft
- (1) Torsion spring
- (1) Low-profile 'C'-style retaining clip
Compatible with:
- All mil-spec AR-15 uppers
Installation Difficulty:
Tools required: A C-clip tool would be nice. Otherwise a couple of mini flathead screwdrivers or needlenose pliers will do the trick
Installation notes: The C-clip will be frustrating without the correct tool. Use paper or gaffer tape to prevent marring the upper while fighting with the clip

Definitely recommended
Every AR style platform needs this and the fact it's priced so cheap is a bonus!

Will not close
The cover will not close. Need to use a screwdriver to close it.

Broken before first use.
I encounter the same problem as Daniel. After installation I havent shot the gun, only manually charged it. So it open- closed a couple dozen times without any recoil. But last time I pulled the charging handle the detent flew out. Apparently the C-cilp on it opened up. Because the room was quiet I was able to notice it and find the detent, the spring and the clip. If l'm at the range shooting there is no way I could even notice something was ejected along with the spent case. Now I also have a dust cover won't close just dangling at the side of my rifle. It's not a big deal. But a nuisance to fix. Nobody sells just the tiny C-clip along. So I have to buy a new dust cover. And then I would have to wait for a package and remove the handguard to do the installation. Bottomline is I wouldn't recommend this product.

Detent fell out first time I went shooting!
Fairly easy to install, but the detent on the dust cover was super tight and was very difficult to close at first (Aero Precision Upper). However, I just opened and closed it about 15 times and it got somewhat smooth.||Unfortunately, the first time I took my AR out the detent fell out within 80 rounds of fire. I never closed in between fire, but by the time I packed the gun up the dust cover didn't stay closed. The detent on the dust cover just fell out somewhere at my range. ||Decent for the price and not necessary for functionality, however its still not good that it immediately broke.

Keeps it clean
Had this included with a Motuik upper receiver. Easy install and no binding during operation.

Decent Cover
Easy to install with some pliers and a little patience. The detent was a little stiff at first but because looser with a some persuasion from a vinyl mallet.

Great cover - Great price
It does it's job and I've never had any issues with the detents on all the ones I've picked up. They work great and have a nice, positive catch.

Decent little mudflap.
No-frills, fits well in CNA upper. Mine came with the C-clip already installed, which is great.||Detente was pretty stiff when first installed and would not snap shut or open easily, but that worked itself out with a bit of repeated use. Works great now.

Does it's job.
Easy install. Not much to say other than it works.

Works fine
Others may have said it's too stiff. Maybe an upper tolerance issue. I have the TNA Mueller Industries upper and mine seems to work fine. No issues at all. Also came with the c-clip pre installed. Awesome!

Works great!
Installed this on a TNA stripped upper for my first build. Fit and finish are excellent. It flips opens and closes just as it should. Would recommend.

Junk.
As one other reviewer has mentioned, the catch is too stiff and will not close on my Colt Expanse. I have to manually depress the detent with a tool for the dust cover to close. ||
