This is basically a condom for your barrel. If your AR is going to be sexually active then you need this... Safety first. You can get pregnant or an STI with just one shot.
Seriously though, here's the scoop. A reverse-style fake can is basically a shroud that looks like a silencer, your barrel slides in the back and goes all the way to the front where it screws into threads. In this way it makes it look like your barrel is much shorter and has a suppressor. Some people have trouble imagining it so I made a drawing:
You'll need at least 125mm of space from the gas block front to the muzzle thread shoulder.

Great Product
Before i start rambling , the customer service at TNA is outstanding , if you got a question they will answer it . Back to the review , Purchased this for my MCR and it actually fit and cleared the stock rail system for a very clean look . Recessed into the rail , the build quality is fantastic. Huge shout out to the boys at TNA for delivering an affordable , durable product .

Too Long
Used this on an 8.5 inch barrel. Not sure if it will affect functionality but I just cut it short and filed the cut end. Looks good.

Great Product
Fit and finish is excellent, no issues. Fits perfectly on stock BCL-102.

Hidden (fake) CAN
Too long, by about an inch, for the SKS-15.||

TOO LONG FOR A 12.5" BARREL
I bought this fake can for a NEA 12.5" barrel but it was too long and clashed with the gas block, it would have worked on a slightly longer barrel but I switched it for the Tavor instead and it looks great.

Nice addition to your rifle
Unfortunately, we can't get these awesome integrally suppressed barrels here and our "full of logic" laws don't allow us to modify barrels to get the length we desire so this little piece here is the best alternative. It paired perfectly with my M&P 15-22 and makes it look like it has a 11.5" barrel, which is exactly what I was seeking. Finish is very nice and it threaded in smoothly. Only downside is the availability but these come in on a regular basis, get them while you can.

Really TACTICOOL!
I have a colt mrr 16" and this can reduces the overall length by 1.5" and gives it a really nice look. If you shoot in low light conditions, this might not be for you.
