This Upper Assembly Tool makes barrel and muzzle device installation super easy. This tool engages the barrel extension while you are torquing your barrel nut and/or muzzle device. Keeps the barrel extension firmly connected to the earth so that you can apply the torque necessary to get the job done. This allows you to work on your upper with less chance of deforming or scratching the outside of the upper receiver which can happen if you use one of those clamshell-style plastic vice blocks.
You put the flattened end into a regular vice (sideways or pointed to the ceiling) and interlock the teeth directly into the barrel extension. This takes all the stress off the receiver that would occur if you were using a clamshell-style vice block.

By hand, assemble the upper receiver, barrel, and barrel nut. Clamp the flat end of the Torque Tool in your bench vise, pointed to the sky. Slide the receiver over the Torque Tool in a controlled fashion so that the teeth engage with the barrel extension (turn the receiver till it locks). Then you can torque away at the barrel nut with the appropriate barrel nut wrench. Note: If dropped it becomes a toe detector, so have a chock or something to stop it from rolling off the bench
