The Magpul ACS (Adaptable Carbine/Storage) is a drop-in replacement buttstock for AR-15/M4 carbines using mil-spec sized receiver extension tubes.
Dual, rear accessible, water-resistant battery storage tubes and an integral storage compartment in the butt of the stock provides multiple storage options.
Similar to the Magpul CTR, the ACS also features an anti-snag release latch to prevent accidental activation along with a supplemental friction lock system that minimizes excessive stock movement for enhanced weapon stability and accuracy*.
The ACS comes standard with a 0.30" thick rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear.

Great cheek weld for a carbine stock
If you're like me and hate the crappy cheek weld you get with AR carbine stocks, but don't want a fixed stock like a PRS, this is a great option. The big sloped cheek weld is a hundred times better than a standard stock. The friction lock works very well to eliminate the slop and rattle you're used to with a standard stock as well. This is a pretty big stock though, the storage options are nice. Room for batteries for your optics, and I keep a bore snake in the storage compartment for quick cleaning in the field. Combined with the oil bottle in my MIAD grip, makes for a nice self contained rifle with everything you need to keep your rifle running.
