Product Description
Similar in function to the Extractor Spring Insert, it is a tiny little soldier for helping to stabilize the extractor spring while acting as a stop for the Extractor when wide open. It also absorbs energy to act as a mini-damper and prevent the Extractor from 'bouncing'. This should be considered a wear item and be replaced when overhauling a Bolt.
The donut style will have slightly different properties than the usual Spring Insert. May be helpful for tough extractions like in short gas systems where the brass has less time to relax off the chamber walls, or you've got a rough chamber, etc. You might choose this Donut as an alternative or compliment to a Power Extractor Spring for when you want a super-stout extractor.
- The material is Chemical-Resistant Viton® Fluoroelastomer (fancy words for space rubber) made to MIL-R-83248C specs for high temperature, chemical, and compression resistance for aeronautical/aerospace applications.
- Durometer 75A (Medium) hardness
- Weight: Two pixie farts

Installation Difficulty:
Tools required: None
Installation notes: This is so small, it's best to keep it inside the little baggie until you're ready for it. After inserting the Extractor Spring into the Extractor, insert the narrower end of the Insert into the spring, so that the flared end will be touching the Bolt after it's installed.
